KS3BG

Welcome to KS3BG!

Teaching Team:

Bryony Gee, Ryan Gascoine, Lee White and Tim Oxley

KS3BG are a group of 11 year 7 students. This is our first year at St Martins School and have settled in superbly!! We have already been on Outdoor Education and been working hard to earn class rewards.

Our Learning:

English: Seasonal Poetry. We have been on poetry walks and created poems on what we have seen and heard.

Maths: Fractions. We have working on mastering the understanding of basic fractions in order to work on more complication fractions later in the year.

Topic: World War Two. This half term we have looked at History and focused on the war. We have done a lot of work around evacuation and what it would be like as a child in the war.

PSHE: Bullying and Diversity. We have based a lot of our bullying topic around choosing respect, as this was part of Anti-Bullying week this year.

Citizenship: What’s it all about? We have done a lot of work on what Citizenship actually is and what it is to be a citizen.

Along with these subject we have been going to lots of different teachers for; Food Tech, Drama, Music, Art, ICT, Science and PE.

 

Update – June 2019

We have worked really hard this year and are now ready for the next adventure in Year 8!

Our Learning:

English: Superheroes. We have been describing superheroes using subordinate clauses and have created our very own unique heroes.

Maths: Numbers. We have been working on mastering the understanding of number lines and place value.

Topic: Moving Forward. This half term we have looked at preparing the students for the future and the next adventure in year 8!

PSHE: Emotions and self-esteem. This half term, we have been looking at self-esteem and how it can be effected by positive and negative daily life situations.

Citizenship: Human Rights. The students have developed their understanding of human rights and what the difference is between rights and responsibilities.

Along with these subject we have been going to lots of different teachers for; DT, Drama, Music, Art, ICT, Science and PE.
