KS3FC

KS3FC have settled into the new school year well and we are studying the following areas across the curriculum:

Topic – A Comparison of Britain and India

The children are enjoying comparing the two countries through the use of the internet, google earth and physical resources.

PHSE – Empathy, Bullying and Diversity

This term the students have shown great understanding of each others needs and respect for one another.

Citizenship – Britain as a diverse society

We have been having interesting discussion around ‘multicultural Britain’ and the students have shown deep thinking skills throughout this learning.

Maths -We have been working on fractions, place value and number and 2D and 3D shapes.

English –The focus this half term for English is Poetry and we have been looking at different types of poetry, the features of poetry such as rhyme and alliteration and also creating our own poems, for which the class has shown a real talent

We have also started our Outdoor Education sessions this half term too and the students are visiting Dovedale and Thorpe Cloud.

We are currently busy practising for Xmas Factor at the end of term and looking forward to performing our masterpiece!
