"The school is a calm and happy place of learning. Staff give pupils the self-confidence to try new things and achieve success" - Ofsted 2017

KS3S

Hello and welcome to KS3S! We have had a great start to the Autumn term and the whole class have made an exceptional transition into Year 9. Everyone has been working hard in school to make good progress in the core subjects such as Mathematics, English and Science. We have had the opportunity to take part in some fishing coaching run by FISH 2013 (Fishing in Safe Hands). The pupils have so far learnt a great deal from this coaching and most importantly had fun at the same time. In November we are all excited to be heading off on a two night residential to Kingswood Activity Centre in the Dearne Valley. The class have started their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze award where they will take part in a number of activities that cover volunteering, physical exercise, skills and expedition. The Duke of Edinburgh award is challenging but rewarding and the pupils have all started out by putting their best into it.
