KS4LB

KS4LB have made a fantastic start to the new school year and have impressed us all this half term with their levels of maturity, responsibility and determined attitudes towards their learning in Year 11.

Several members of the form have run for Head Boy this year and have been working creatively over the past few weeks to create a campaign. These have involved making campaign videos, posters and writing personal speeches that each student read out in a whole school assembly. This often causes students to be very nervous and we were extremely proud of how our potential candidates remained calm and professional…well done to all of you in KS4LB who did this!

The students in KS4LB were excited to continue with their AIM award in Community. This year students are taking part in Aim award that has similarities to Duke of Edinburgh. The award involves map-reading skills eventually leading to students planning their own walk in the local community. We have dedicated this term to building up their physical fitness and team building skills in preparation for future walks. We are also impressed with our learners current attitudes to their work in GCSE, BTEC and new option subject lessons which include Food Technology, Creative Digital Media and IAG.

Well done to KS4LB for such a positive start to the new school year after a tough few months…keep up the fantastic work!
