Supporting our friends at St Mary’s and Ravensdale

We were devastated to hear of the fires at St Mary’s and Ravensdale schools at the start of October. Students at St Martins are having a non-uniform day on Friday 23rd October to raise money for the schools. Students with cold symptoms

Tuesday 15th September – We have had a number of students off school with sore throats, runny noses and cold symptoms.  We are happy to have these students in school.  If their temperature is less than 37.8, they have no new cough and you feel they are fit for school then they can come in. Edge Foundation

Just before lockdown a couple of people from the Edge Foundation visited school to find out more about our curriculum and how we prepare students for the world of work. They toured school, Horizons and Project Search and spoke with various staff and to student groups. St Martins School is starting back on Tuesday 8th September for all students.  We are really excited about welcoming new and current students through our doors! A letter will be sent via text/the MyEd app on Friday 4th September with further details on your child’s return to school.  


Grocery Aid – School Essentials Grant

The School Essentials Grant launched today by GroceryAid aims to reduce the financial impact on parents working in the Grocery industry when children go back to school in September. In a recent survey by The Children’s Society, it was reported that increased school uniform costs are leaving many low-income families struggling to cope and forced to cut back on food and other essential items. Summer Online Workshops

Hubbub, Sinfonia Viva and Quad are running online workshops this summer holiday. These are free online workshops from Hubbub, Sinfonia Viva and Quad which will run on set days throughout the summer holiday. Students will need to book tickets (free of charge) for the events they wish to take part in to secure their place.
