Welcome to KS3VT

All of KS3VT have settled very well, we are currently busy studying all areas of the curriculum including Strong Emotions and Happiness in PSHE, Buddhism in Topic and Britain as a Diverse Society in Citizenship. In Maths we have been working on problem solving, number and place value and addition & subtraction of 4 digit numbers. Our book we are working on this term in English is called ‘Olympic Sport- The whole muscle flexing story’ It is non-fiction. So far we have produced interviewing questions for our sporting hero and researched the answers.

This term we have also started our Outdoor Education lessons, travelling to Attenborough Nature Park going to Black Rock ‘Weaselling’ and taking part in a biking lesson at school.

Update – December 2018

KS3VT have had a busy half term… In Maths they have been working through a number of different topics including measure, fractions and number.   Five of the eight students in KS3VT took part in 2 different football matches this half term, both matches were won!  Well done to Kelsey, Billy, Josh, Dominic and Zak!   They visited the Buddhist Centre to find out more about Buddhism and learnt how to meditate.  As part of a special project, they made flags for the WW1 Memorial Day which have been displayed at the National Memorial Arboretum to commemorate the fallen soldiers from WW1.  Lastly, they are preparing for the Christmas X-Factor performance. Watch this space!!
