Samantha, Annija, Arjan and Shareen make up KS4SW along with teacher Sam and learning mentor Rebekah.
All the students have just started in Year 10 and face an exciting couple of years ahead, working hard in English and Maths plus Vocational options to gain the qualifications needed for their futures. They are already focused on their individualised and diverse accreditation pathways and with support we will encourage each of them to maximise their achievements and qualifications.
Arjan is studying for an Arts Award where he is currently practising illustration techniques using thick and thin lines to produce an art therapy design page. He is also showing resilience towards his second option of 3D printing where is designing and printing three-dimensional models.
Animal care was the choice of Annija, giving her the skills required to look after animals in the future should she choose a career in this area. She is currently learning how to handle animals confidently and gain the ability to cope with upsetting situations that can arise from working with injured or mistreated animals.
Both Shareen and Samantha are taking part in Jamie Oliver’s cooking option. They have chosen this option because they want to become confident cooks in the future. Samantha also feels that she would like to become a photographer in the future so she is currently learning about parts of a camera and taking part in the A-Z photography challenge.
We look forward to seeing all of the KS4SW students achieve what they’ve set out to achieve and have a fun year whilst they do it!
