KS4TB have had a great start to the school year and are beginning to settle in to their KS4 class. As well as Maths and English, the students have started to learn all about the community we live in and career planning. Students are also enjoying their options on a Tuesday.
In our class, we are striving to be respectful and work together as a team.
Update – December 2018
This term KS4TB have really taken ownership of their learning. Every morning we are all working hard to improve our reading fluency and skills. We do this in a range of ways from independent reading to fun games.
We are all looking forward to Christmas and are working together to make our classroom look festive and to get in to the Christmas spirit. Next week, if we continue to work as a team, be respectful and complete our learning, we will be going out for breakfast as a reward.
Update: April 2019
This term, as well as continuing with our English and Maths learning, KS4TB have been really focusing on our community sessions. We have done a lot of learning and activities around skills for shopping and using money. This includes communicating with the staff in the shops.
In addition to this, we have been spending some time at Horizons Sixth Form. We took part in a workshop at Gallery 5 and we learnt all about the business and had a go at making and printing our own coasters and keyrings.
We are hoping to use our business and enterprise skills to do some fundraising for our London Residential in July.
